Exploring Culture
There is a great difference between my culture and Hispanic culture. Ways that helped me in the process were doing my research and finding the differences between them both. The thing Hispanic culture goes through such as racial, ethnic, and anti-immigrant prejudice, including discrimination in employment, housing, and education challenge my worldview because some of the cultures could be related and some couldn’t. Seeing the world differently than how I see it now and more of what the people around me see it as and how it impacts them differently than me.


Engaging in Communities
Here is a picture of me working in the community. I visited an elementary school in Lake City, Florida where I got to take to the students and tell them about football also the students wanted my autographs.

Interpersonal Communication
My trouble when communicating is saying it conversation very well i have trouble when i get to some words that are harder than others. I tried hearing the words from google so i can know how to say it when communicating. I will have different questions next time because sometimes using a similar question can be boring adding more details to the question can make the conversation more interesting.
Presentational Speaking
In English, give a brief 2-3-line description of any presentational speaking activities you completed this semester inside or outside of class for or related to your Spanish learning. Include a recording of one of these speaking activities. (See Modes of Communication link for description and examples).
Then, in a paragraph, write a reflection that includes each presentation you completed in which you explain what challenged you and how you grew and overcame those challenges. What did you excel at? What/how would you do differently next time?
Presentational Writing
In English, give a very brief 2-3-line description of the presentational communication of compositions, pamphlets, blogs, flyers, stories, articles, and any other written presentation activities you completed this semester inside or outside of class for or related to your Spanish learning. Include a copy of a written presentational activity you produced? (See Modes of Communication link for description and examples).
Then, in a paragraph, write a reflection that includes each of the activities you described above in which you explain how you have grown with each assignment or activity. What became easier and what was difficult? How did you overcome the difficulties? What did you excel at and why? How could you do better next time?
Interpretive Listening
With the website Lingro Learning, there were a lot of activities that dealt with interpretive listening. With those assignments had to listen very well and tell whether “tu or nostros” were being used. Also, there were activities where u had to repeat what you heard in the audio.
The takeaway from those assignments was that I could hear the different pronunciations of the words. As well as hearing the word used properly in the correct sentences. It was interesting repeating what was played out in my audio. I have grown with this activity throughout the semester because there was a lot of listening audio as well as recorded audio.

Interpretive Reading
There were no communication articles that were read in or out of the class dealing with Spanish culture.
