The top three social science careers that I find most interesting are Historian, Museum Technician, and Sociologist. I find interest in how humans and economies work, how we have behaved in the past during conflict, and preserving history and artifacts that have survived said conflicts.

History is an invaluable tool that we can learn from and improve ourselves from. We can learn how technology has helped (and hurt) us, and how human nature has fit in and utilized technology, versus how it was designed and meant to be used. History is also useful in developing trend analysis and analyzing conflict, root causes and outcomes.

Many artifacts, texts, and other historical data have been lost and destroyed due to war tactics, spite and regime agendas. I find this to be a critical loss of human nature, history and truth. Preservation and upkeep of museum articles is important for our future generations to learn from and admire.

Sociology fits in well and sort of blankets history and human nature. Deep diving into religions, political regimes, and social behaviors is critical to understanding the who, what, why and how. We grow as a society when we understand how we have behaved in the past, and why.
