Music and relationships have a deeper and more profound connection with each other than many realize. I think that an individual’s taste in music can help him or her choose a partner and build a relationship. If two people share the similar preference in music, then they will most likely form a more intense and powerful bond with each other. I also think that music can play a significant and major role in relationships, because it can relate to one’s values and ideals. I believe that two individuals can become more attracted to each other if they share the same taste in music.

I have noticed a similarity in music preference between myself and a romantic other. My husband and I have the same music preference and we also share a playlist together. I think that having the same music preference also means depicts that we share common values and ideals in life. For instance, we both keep up to date with the music industry. With that being said, I think we also share the same ideas that having the current style and trend is significant to our lifestyle. I believe that this is the reason why we are so attracted and fascinated by each other.

Some songs can be associated with certain people in my life, even myself. For instance, Ed Sheeran’s song featuring Beyonce, Perfect, reminds me of my relationship with my husband. In the song, Beyonce’s part states that she founds a man stronger than anyone and that she shares a dream with her. These words describe exactly how I feel about my husband. My mother reminds me of the song by Carrie Underwood, Don’t Forget to Remember Me. This song reminds me of my mother, because I remember leaving my parent’s house and then recalling the exact moment when I tell myself that I will never forget about my mother. A song that reminds me of my best friend is Wild Thoughts by Rihanna. This song reminds me of the fun and unforgettable moments my best friend and I both did together. This song is so upbeat which represents my best friend’s energy and personality. A song that represents my outlook in life is called Lego House by Ed Sheeran. His song describes trial and error which is a motivation for my life. I know that sometimes nature might put me down, but I will always get back up. A song that reminds of my grandfather is See You Again by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. My grandfather passed away a couple years ago and I know I will be able to see him again one day.
