Assignment 5 consisted of me attempting to do five nice acts for people I do not know. I was able to execute five random acts of kindness over the course of the week and it felt very pleasing and satisfying. From this assignment, I learned that my life would change for the better if I perform one act of kindness per day. By doing so, this could change the way I think and treat people. Eventually, by doing so, I might be able to do random acts of kindness without even thinking about it. In another class, I learned that people with antisocial personality disorders do not care for other individuals. Therefore, people with such a disorder will not be able to perform random acts of kindness, because they disregard other people’s happiness. This assignment was personally relevant to me, because being nice to people for that one week made me feel very satisfied. For instance, seeing the people’s reactions was highly enjoyable to see.

I chose this rationale, because the “items to archive” discussed a topic on how to achieve a happy life. Enjoying life such as the individuals pictured above is possible when one reaches that level of self- fulfillment. This can be achieved by helping others, being surrounded by positivity, and taking care of oneself.
