Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational Modes of Communication
In my experience of being in this spanish class taught me a lot. I can identify words in sentences that I did not recognize before. I learned a lot on how to conjugate and create sentences on my own. In my spanish Lingrohub, I would always comprehend and get all of them right with the right amount of practice.

Exploring Culture
When I think of what helped me understand the culture better was looking more into what spanish culture consists of. In my own time, I’d look into what we would be learning in Lingogro and go upon those areas and research about each country such as Spain, Peru, etc.
The researched helped me understand hispanic culture by showing me what unique traditions they may have. What similarities they may have to the mainland. When it comes to a challenging perspective, I see it as what benefits did this give me when learning about these certain cultures and heritages. Overall it made me work more efficiently due to having an open mind set. On what spaniards celebrate or what are social medias do each country use.
Engaging in Communities
I think communicating with communities all around you can help you keep an open mind about how life actual works. To show that every human being on this earth is going through the same things you may be going through.
Reflecting on my experience on how I communicate with my fellow communities has given me the confidence to be closer to strangers and to be helpful around others. To always consider their feelings and to show respect to one another.
Interpersonal Communication
I have done several flipagram interactions. I would post my own video all in spanish and I would respond to people as well in spanish.
In the beginning, it was a little tough to create sentences off the top of my head but later it became second nature. To pick and choose vocab I learned during my class. How it all came together and it showed me how easy it was to conjugate verbs in spanish. To create sentences when it all started to make sense.
With each assignment such as flipagram has made me more comfortable to speak out loud in spanish then usual. When it comes to spanish speaking, I do get a little nervous due to not wanting to being judged upon. Slowly, the communications made it easier for me to talk to people even in person such as my coworkers and friends.
Presentational Speaking
Presentational wise, I have zoomed my own professor during class twice to speak to her in only spanish. It has made me comfortable to talk and to demonstrate my skills without being nervous.
The challenges I have overcome throughout all my presentations are to not stutter and to pronounce words in their true form such as rolling my ‘R’ and to show that I am comfortable speaking in another language.
Presentational Writing
I have created research upon universities that are compared from my very own ODU and a university in Spain.
To reflect on each assignment, researching about the different hispanic cultures became easy because I could almost search most my questions up in spanish which help me comprehend things better. One thing I could do better next time is to take my time when researching and to understand the concept of each category better than just skipping through and only getting what i only needed.
Interpretive Listening
The listening activities I have completed are doing my weekly quizzes where I would get tested to show what I understand and what I do not.

The things that I have learned are using words and comprehending them. When people do speak to e in spanish it is easier to picture in my head what they are saying and to map out what I should say next. To demonstrate I can comprehend words and phrases. One unclear part would be how similar some words sound. It would mess me up a little such as ella and ello.
Interpretive Reading
Articles I have read outside spanish class would be the universities in Spain that I have compared to ODU.
The most unclear part of reading articles in spanish was I only knew so many words. Some words were hard to interpret since I am only in Spanish 101. Overall learning and reading in spanish has helped me in the real world when non english speakers only speak spanish. I usually can comprehend and respond back in certain words.
