Hello,

My name is Matan Tchumanov, and I am currently a second-year student at Old Dominion University, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity. I’m eager to deepen my knowledge in this dynamic field and continue my learning journey.

So far, I’ve completed a course in Cybersecurity, Technology & Society, and I’m currently taking courses in Cybersecurity and Social Sciences, Intro to Linux, and Basic Cyber Programming and Networking. The latter two have been my first real hands-on experience with cybersecurity, while my social sciences course has expanded my understanding of how these disciplines interlink with cybersecurity. I’ve also begun learning Python coding and exploring Linux, both of which I’ve found to be enjoyable and engaging.

Beyond academics, I serve as the Secretary for my chapter of Kappa Delta Rho fraternity. This role has allowed me to significantly enhance my leadership and organizational skills, particularly in note-taking and communication. Additionally, I’m an avid gearhead with a passion for anything on four wheels, including car racing and go-karting.
