My name is Matan Tchumanov, and I am a third-year student at Old Dominion University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity. I grew up in Reston, Virginia, but I was born in Israel and spent the early part of my childhood there. I am fluent in both English and Russian. Outside of academics, I have a strong background in music and athletics—I played piano for six years and swam competitively for nine. I’ve always had a passion for cars and anything mechanical, which led me to race in a go-kart league during high school, where I placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall in separate seasons. I have +4 years of experience in the public safety Industry. At Old Dominion, I continue to stay active and involved as a professional DJ and currently serve as the Vice President of the Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity.
