How you think the media influences our understanding about cybersecurity?

The media distorts the view of hacking by showing fast, flashy, visual dramatic processes with instant results. While some shows like “Mr.Robot” have made efforts to show more realistic hacking scenarios, many productions prioritize entertainment over realism. This can become a problem because it can make people underestimate cybersecurity threats or develop unrealistic expectations and fears.

For example, movies often show hackers instantly breaking into a highly secure system with a few clicks on the keyboard, but in reality, these processes are complex and take time. These types of misunderstandings can cause organizations to focus on the wrong security priorities or individuals to overlook simple security practices.
