My name is Matthew Surratt and 2024 is my first year at Old Dominion University. I am majoring in Cybersecurity and if all goes well, I will be graduating in 2026. I am very excited to have new experiences and learn new things here at ODU as I begin this journey. Previously, I was a real estate assessor for Carroll County, Virginia, and after 18 years I decided it was time to move on. My wife recently graduated from ODU receiving a Masters in Library and Information Science. She encouraged me to go back to school, and as luck would have it, everything worked out so I can pursue my new degree. My wife actually won an award for her E-portfolio at ODU.
