***Take fifteen minutes and find out everything you can about yourself by Googling your name. What would others learn about you? Write a quick paragraph in your ePortfolio***

I remember looking myself up on the internet as a kid to see who else had my name.  Back then, social media was not a thing and google did not provide much.  Matt Allen is an extremely popular and simple name, so unlike my childhood searches, countless results show up today.  Additionally, the only social media account that I have is Facebook.  Any other platform I ever had was deleted and I never used them anyways.  When searching “Matt Allen” I was not able to easily find anything on myself.  I included the words “Rampart High School” and “Merchant Marine Academy” to narrow down the search based on my life.  Still unsuccessful, I typed in “Matt Allen Navy” and that is when I found the first link to myself.  A picture popped up in images of me in a Flamingo Suit (Business suit).  This picture was from my Linked in profile.  After clicking the picture, I was directed to my Linked in profile where my basic life story was accessible.  From this public profile, people would be able to learn that I attended American Military University and studied Homeland Security, that I am in the Navy and served for 8 years and 8 months.  They would also be able to see that I live in Chesapeake Virginia and see what I do in the Navy.
