Sports have changed over the years with the rules, the way we watch and/or play the sport. Not only has the players and rules have changed, but how we present our sports. We show our love of the sports in many way like wearing our favorite team’s merch, or how we talk about them, and even how we show the world through social media, and that’s the main topic. Today, with the growing of sports, social media is needed now more than ever. Even the sports media landscape has not been immune to this train of thought, as we have observed a transformation in the preferences of sports fans when it comes to their choice of media outlets.

Social Media has changed our way of sports in ways we didn’t even know could make an impact on all of us. The advent of new technologies and the widespread use of social media have greatly facilitated the transmission of messages at an unprecedented pace, enabling them to reach specific audiences with ease. This viewpoint is reinforced by the assertions put forth in the article “Sport, Public Relations and Social Media,” which highlights the transformative impact of social media on the media landscape and emphasizes the need for organizations to adapt accordingly. However, it is important to recognize that the ability to transmit information rapidly does not guarantee its successful delivery to the intended audience. The effectiveness of any message is determined by various factors, including its creation, timeliness, and dissemination to carefully selected target audiences.

Consumers today have the option to enjoy watching their beloved teams on television, as expected. However, they also had the opportunity to engage with various sports-related content, such as the programming available on ESPN, NBC, Fox Sports, and other professional channels on television.
