Social Media Persona Page

For this blog, we will take a step into how my social media is published for the public. I will showcase from Instagram. For those that know me personally, I am not one to post pictures a lot on most social media platforms, unless I was dared or if it is for someone or something special in my life. But when I do post, it is mostly about sports. I play for the Old Dominion Ice Hockey team and we have a really good social media for our team. We keep up with upcoming games, special events, who’s signed onto the team. I, however, do not run the page because I recently joined the team, however, I support my team and send out what we have posted to the people I follow. I try to also post highlight reels from our games and what is also being published.

With my all of my social media accounts, I am not a huge fan of posting a lot of pictures and/or videos because I have very high insecurities with what I post on the internet. Before I even came to Old Dominion and even before college in general, I was bullied and teased about my looks and what I posted on my social media accounts. I wasn’t as ashamed back then as I was recently with myself. I was very distant with people, and had a few friends in my circle. Coming to today, I have grown and become very confident with myself and what I post for the world to see. Looking back now, I just had very bad insecurities with who I was. Now, I’ve grown up and love who I am today.

To finalize this persona, I now post a number of posts and stories about my hockey teams, my sport job, and the school team. I wasn’t posting a lot of sport content back then and wasn’t really sure why. Now, I love posting about up-to-date content about what teams I route for or play for.
