Ignoring some of the movies with over-the-top examples of hacking, it seems like the common criticism in these examples is the unrealistic speed in which they achieve things. For example, in Mr. Robot, the speed with which he examines the screen and comes to a valid conclusion was seen to be a little too fast for any human being to actually do.
I am happy to see that the scene in The Social Network where Mark Zuckerberg hacks the facebooks for the various dorms to be seen as fairly realistic, as this is one of my favorite movies.
