Economics and Cybersecurity are closely tied mainly because governments are responsible for the well-being of most citizens that is their health and safety. Economics is directly related to health as government gives access to healthcare and food to many who are in need and cybersecurity protects the safety of a country. In the sample breach notification, the company gives contact information for the California Office of Privacy Protection which is related to the Keynesian theory because the government invested in it to protect their citizens. Another theory relating to economics and social science together is the rational choice theory, the authorities said to the third-party company to not release information about the leak so that the investigation could move forward this is a rational choice by the authorities for their benefit but not necessarily the people.
