What protections would you implement to ensure availability of your systems (and why)?

If I was CISCO I would make sure I have a solid foundation in these categories;

-Authentication ensure each employee has a 2nd layer of security before reaching any of the companies important files and databases. This can be through something similar to watch we use with DuoMoblie.

-Firewalls would be checked and updated daily to ensure the most protection is available.

-With a networking company like CISCO we would have to make sure we have a team like a watchdog of white hackers as the frontlines of defense in the event of a cyberattack. It may not have to entirely white hat hackers but a minimum of at least a detection system and monitors the systems continually.

-Massive Encryption would need to put into play of all networks and drives to make sure the data is further protected. It can be to the point where the data is only accessible from an onsite location with the proper keys.
