This course helps my career because cybersecurity work requires good judgment and awareness. It is not enough to know how systems work. You also need to understand what is right, what is risky, and what can harm people if handled the wrong way. PHIL 335 gave me a stronger ethical foundation so I can make better decisions in data-driven environments. It helps me see issues from multiple angles and speak up when something feels off. These skills matter in any role that deals with privacy and security, and they support the direction I want to take in my career.
This class matters for my career because cybersecurity is full of gray areas. Not every situation has a clear rule or policy to follow, so your judgment becomes the deciding factor. PHIL 335 helped me build that judgment. It trained me to think about intention, impact, and fairness, especially when dealing with sensitive data or automated decision-making. It also made me more aware of how small choices inside a system can create big effects for users. Going into cybersecurity, I want to be someone who understands both the technical reality and the human consequences behind it. This class pushed me in that direction.
