Cybersecurity technology relates to my major because my major is Cybersecurity. The purpose of me taking Cybersecurity is that I wanted to understand how cybersecurity technology work. I was interested and wanted to make a career out of cybersecurity. I wanted to learn how the body of technologies, the processes and practices designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access. When I finish my study of cybersecurity, I want to be able to prevent cyberattacks from cybercriminals. Like preventing cybercriminals from gaining access to a computer’s system or data without authorized access. Also, be able to take away cybercriminals ability to take down websites by them being able to disrupt services that the website provides. I want to be ahead of cybercriminals by recognizing when they are trying to change the characteristics of a system’s hardware, firmware or software without my or owner’s knowledge, instruction or consent. A major that relates to cybersecurity is advanced engineering – Cyber system security.  Advance engineering – Cyber system security certificate in Cyber Systems Security provides a thorough understanding of the cyber security threats faced by the stand-alone computer systems, networked systems, IT infrastructure, and cyber physical systems having embedded computer systems operated by individuals, small businesses and large enterprises, along with the knowledge required to defend against these threats. Another major that relates to Cybersecurity is Computer Engineering, it relates to Cybersecurity because a course that is offered with computer engineer is cybersecurity. Another major that relates to Cybersecurity is Cyber operations. Cyber operations relate to Cybersecurity because it is a complementary discipline to Cybersecurity. Cyber Operations places an emphasis on technologies and techniques applicable to all operational and system levels. The last major that I found that relates to Cybersecurity is cybercrime. Cybercrime relates to Cybersecurity because if someone wants to be employed with working for a cybercrime company that must have knowledge of cybersecurity.
