Why are you interested in cybersecurity technology?  

I have chosen cybersecurity to be my major for many reasons. First of all, cybersecurity is a growing field that is highly in demand. Looking into the future I can only see the demand becoming more and more crucial. Almost every business you can imagine has or will need to have some IT security in order to keep up with today’s technology-based times. Secondly, being on the front line of protecting assets and information will surely be a challenge. I enjoy working on a good problem and challenging myself. Overcoming obstacles is what personally gives me job satisfaction and is rewarding at the end of the day. Thirdly, the cybersecurity field is one that is always changing day by day. This constantly changing environment demands that I will have to continuously learn and adapt to new threats. I have had jobs where you do the same tasks over and over again which gets monotonous. Having new methods and constantly having to learn them is what keeps a job interesting to me. Fourthly, I do feel that cybersecurity is one of the more overlooked aspects of our daily life. So much of our personal information is accessible through technology that we take it for granted. It has become a necessity to protect our networks and personal information from advisories. Finally, cybersecurity has such a wide application that I feel that it will allow me to have more opportunities for a starting a new career.  Having such a in demand job will give my family and I a sense of stability. I have always fought to give my family a better life than I had growing up and with the opportunity that the cybersecurity field provides I can do just that. At the end of the day my family is the driving force behind everything I do
