Lead Student Worker (August 2019-present)

As a lead student, I lead five other students and teach, instruct, and demonstrate correct work procedures, policies, and practices. I head mass projects which include distributing and re-carding the whole on-campus student population. In addition, I conduct small group informational sessions on the functions of the Card Center. I have experience in maintaining and transporting private and sensitive information due to the information associated with the cards.

As a regular student worker, customer service is a critical part of the job whether it’s answering phones, troubleshooting problems, taking messages, or any other ways of assisting customers. At the Card Center, we issue IDs, take photographs, give access to buildings, and maintain the card printers. I’m knowledgable in cash, credit, and monarch funds transactions, mail practices, and Microsoft Office. I perform new student preview which includes processing thousands of ID cards to allow students access to their dorm and meal plans.
Assistant Vacation Bible School Teacher (Summer 2018)

While being the assistant teacher, my job consisted of teaching beginning concepts to my group, organizing learning sessions, gathering materials for the instructional sessions, and finding interesting and relevant course material.
Public Works Volunteer (September 2016-January 2017)
North Suffolk Library, Suffolk, VA
My duties consisted of creating eye-catching and aesthetically pleasing event displays for patron viewing. My volunteer work also was comprised of sorting works of literature according to the Dewey Decimal System, genre, or alphabetical order. In addition to the aforementioned duties, public works volunteers offer excellent customer service to patrons of the library through directing patrons to the appropriate section in the library to find their literary material.
