Relevant Coursework

This section consists of the courses completed and in progress in relation to my degree in business management. Each below segment explains the correlation between the coursework and how it can be applied to the real life business world. Also, special projects that were completed in specific classes are included.

The below courses encompass the vast realm of management that can be applied to jobs and organizations:

  • Organizational Behavior (In Progress)
  • Human Resources Management (In Progress)
    • We are currently working in a team structure to practice the hiring subject of selection. By applying our knowledge of selection methods while still adhering to ADP’s business strategy, we were tasked with creating a selection plan for a real life position. Later we will present our findings to representatives from ADP.
  • Operations Management (In Progress)
  • Contemporary Organizations and Management      
  • Introduction to Contemporary Business 
    • During this class, we were split into groups to dabble in entrepreneurship. As a team, we developed a new product, decided on marketing and pricing strategies, created financial statements, and pitched the idea to multiple experts in the field in a panel style interview who either currently run businesses or were involved in start ups.        

The class within this section focused on learning about consumers and how to attract them and how to implement the four Ps (price, place, promotion, and product) in a business strategy:

Classes in this segment include the subject of economics whether it’s on an individual basis or larger one:

  • Principles of Macroeconomics

  • Economics and personal finance                                                               

The courses below mainly deal with allocating funds, materials, and making and analyzing financial documents for organizations to utilize:

  • Intro to Financial Management
  • Principles of Managerial Accounting         
  • Principles of Financial Accounting             

The following coursework includes utilizing mathematical formulas, graphing tools, computer programs, and data that can be used to find solutions to real world numerical problems in the work world:
