INTERNSHIP

As an Intern with Old Dominion University’s ITS – Desktop Support Group, I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT support, focusing on troubleshooting devices, packaging software updates, and deploying them through Intune. My internship took place primarily in the Health Sciences Building, where I provided essential technical support to faculty, staff, and students. One of the most rewarding parts of my internship was helping to resolve issues within the dental clinic, which gave me a unique perspective on how many different fields, including healthcare, are intertwined with IT and cybersecurity. This experience allowed me to see firsthand how critical IT systems are in maintaining smooth operations in diverse environments. Throughout my time in this role, I applied the skills I’ve acquired through my studies in Cybersecurity, while also enhancing my problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge in a real-world setting.
