The very first job that intrigued me was a cyber security analyst that I found on indeed.com for Norfolk, Virginia. I am interested in this job because not only is it in the cybersecurity field, it is also working along side the military. Although I am not currently qualified for the job I plan on becoming certified in this field of study. These job requirements include having a bachelor’s degree, and having seven or more years of experience in the field. In order to meet these requirements I plan on completing my bachelor’s degree at ODU with a major in criminal justice and minor in cybersecurity and while obtaining this, become an intern for the company so I can learn the software and the Job.

The second job I found interesting was a corrections major in Chesapeake, Virginia. Through this job I would work to maintain order, work with not only the public and staff members but also those who have been institutionalized in order to provide the maximum amount of safety. The preferred qualifications for this job is to have a college degree in criminal justice, to have graduated from the program LEAD, and to have experience with Microsoft, outlook and other online programs. My plan to acquire this job is to complete my degree with ODU in criminal justice and at the same time start and complete the LEAD program. While in school I will plan to take a couple courses in Microsoft to obtain my word certification. Then finally apply for the job.

The third and final job I am interested in is a training specialist in the US department of the Navy. This job requires that I train and teach people about new technologies and the overall issues of the internet. The requirements for this job is that I am a US citizen, pass a background check, and I must complete a “time-in-grade” which requires me to study at a one grade lower than I already am. I also must have a PHD or doctoral degree to properly present my skills in this position. My plan for this job it to 1. finish my criminal justice degree 2. continue to study and gain a doctoral degree in criminal Justice and finally apply for the job and complete the evaluation and things necessary for this position.
