The first question I would ask a potential employee would be if they have an experience in the field or any back ground education on it. This is important for any employer to ask where in some jobs background experience is not necessary, I believe it would be important to have education in information security to properly fulfill the duties of the job. The next question to ask would be if they have any background or prior experience with using the cryptography and how to create systems for data protection. This would be important in the career of an information security officer and although it is important it can be taught, so it would not send an applicant away if they do not know how to use it. A follow up question would be if they have used or are familiar with cryptanalysis. This is important because along with creating systems for data protection, you would need to know how to break certain systems if the wrong people have created them. The next question would be if the possible employee is tech-savvy. This is very important considering the majority of the job would be working online to assure security. The final question I would ask them is less related to the specific job but to ask if they are reliable and test worthy. This is also important with any job because we need to know that they will be loyal to the company and to their work.
