VPN’s can be valuable for different things. They are used on the internet to connect two private networks to make somewhat of a loophole. Such as I remember during High school, under the school wifi certain websites would be blocked such as online games and the way to undo this would be to use a VPN. Some benefits to using VPNs are that if it is used to correctly they are secure and would not be effected by spam and hackers. A second benefit is that VPNs are usually cheaper than other services, if not then free. Thirdly, most employeers provide VPN’s for take home work. Big online services such as windows and different operating systems. And lastly, VPN’s protect you from cybercriminals where it makes it so your personalized data is no longer at risk.

Some downfall to using VPN networks include that it may slow down your connection. The best VPN’s to use are not free so you would be paying a monthly or one time fee. When using a VPN you also have to be careful because some VPN networks log and store user data. So even though they are protecting you from hackers they still keep your information. Another downfall is that these networks don’t necessarily work on all platforms. Platforms such as some smart tv’s or even gaming consoles. Lastly, going through small ones may tend to have a lot of confusion and may be hard to use.

In conclusion, VPNs do provide more advantages than disadvantages especially when one has to use the internet constantly for their job. People may have to end up paying for it; however, it would be worth it to constantly use.
