This 2-day program was an intensive workshop totaling 15 hours. It trained participants on how to identify, de-escalate, and lead individuals who are at risk for suicide to safety and to the appropriate resources for professional help.
DiversABILITY Training
ODU Office of Educational Accessibility; January 2021
The DiversABILITY workshop educated participants on the history of legislation and social rights acts related to individuals with disability in the United States and provided methods that faculty can make materials more accessible to students with various disabilities.
Safe Space Ally Training
ODU Office of Intercultural Relations; December 2020
The Office of Intercultural Relations hosted Safe Space Ally Training to teach participants about the need for and ways to create a safe environment for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Along with a review of the legislation and social rights events that advanced the LGBTQIA+ community in U.S. history, the training required participants to be introspective of both the privileges and disadvantages they experience in their identities.
Dyslexia Awareness Training

Dyslexia Awareness Training provided participants with updated information on the statistics, causes, and experiences of individuals with dyslexia. This program outlined services that are provided and provided suggestions on how administrators can facilitate learning for people with dyslexia.
