National Students for Speech-Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA)

Treasurer; 2021-2022; ODU, Norfolk

As treasurer of NSSLHA, I facilitated fundraisers within Norfolk and the ODU campus which raised money for sponsoring members to attend the 2021 ASHA Convention in Washington, D.C. I also collaborated with officers to provide resources to general members and educate them about current developments within the speech-language pathology and audiology fields through guest speakers.

Filipino American Student Association (FASA)

President; 2020-2021; ODU, Norfolk

As president of FASA, I managed a team of officers that helped me organize programs promoting Filipino culture on the main Norfolk campus of Old Dominion University and in the Hampton Roads area. Events included culture night shows, Tagalog language workshops, D7 olympics featuring traditional Filipino games, and a FASA pageant benefiting charity.

Cultural Liaison; 2019-2020; ODU, Norfolk

As cultural liaison of FASA, I created programs that raised awareness of Filipino culture and encouraged a spirit of kapwa, or kinship among members and nonmembers in the ODU community and beyond. Programs I orchestrated include a Cipher talent show open to the public and cultural workshops addressing music, dance, and traditional holidays.
