Sacristan/Eucharistic Minister; 2017-present

As a volunteer at my church, I help prepare for mass celebrations by setting up the appropriate vessels, cloths, and vestments as well as administering communion to the parish. This experience humbles me in teaching me the intricate details and deliberations that are meaningfully incorporated into events that can quickly become routine.

Speech Therapy for Kids

Volunteer; 2018

As a temporary volunteer for Speech Therapy for Kids in Virginia Beach, I was able to observe and help care for children in a group therapy setting. Through this experience I gained insight and materials (i.e., an Elmo print out for children with emerging literacy skills) for how a group session with 5 pre-school aged children may be conducted.
