This course was based on the application of the social sciences in cybersecurity. It mainly focused on the human factor of cybersecurity which has proven to be one of the weakest links in security. Through analyzing cyber incidents and articles, I was able to learn the effect of societal factors on cybersecurity while also learning how cybersecurity effects society, especially marginalized groups.
In the first article review, I analyzed an article which tackled the problem of cyberbullying. It forced me to apply concepts learned in class to understand the effects of cyberbullying, the connection it has with social sciences and how it applies to cybersecurity.
