Critical Thinking
Conducted research on the Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) during my Junior year at ODU. During my research, I had to assess political, ethical and social implications of ZTA. The main point of this project was to assess the efficacy through means other than numbers and results. It forced me to analyze how implications of cybersecurity policy and strategy through unconventional means. This aided in my ability to analyze developments in security through multiple different perspectives, while developing my understanding as to how the field of cybersecurity operates.
Communication
Analyzed and discussed ethical questions presented in the form of a memo. In this particular memo, the question “Should American Spies Steal Commercial Secrets?” was asked. This project made me communicate my opinion on the subject by providing evidence to my conclusions, compare and contrast between opinions and dissect my thought process. This enhanced my ability to effectively communicate not only through different forms of writing but it made me approach the way I communicate with an open mind.
Technology
Developed skills in basic programing, Linux and Windows OS systems. Deep understanding of cybersecurity strategy, architectures and systems through research and analysis. In the project I have linked below, I had to explain SCADA systems, vulnerabilities and risk mitigation strategies. Through the constant analysis and research on cybersecurity security strategy, my understanding grew exponentially.
