In this assignment, I made an infographic on some of the information I gathered from Ellis Williams. Mr. Williams is a beat reporter for the Carolina Panthers having reported with the team since 2021 and reporting in the industry for another 5 with a variety of teams. He and I talked for a while and he gave me a lot of important and personal information that would help students like myself break into that barrier of the sports industry. He emphasized many different talking points in our discussion, this infographic are different things I think that should be taken away and what a lot of students like myself need. Mr. Williams has extensive history in the sports for a multiple of different news papers such as Post Star, SN, and Cleveland.com so when I was listening to some of his responses to my question I understood how much wisdom this man has and his journey is going! Something that hit home for me was needing to be able to tell a story, and make a name for yourself in the sports community; Mr. Williams made a major emphasis on expressing who you are but also admiring and helping others around you. He also made a major emphasis on connections in the industry and that a lot of connections goes into the sports industry. I felt that was something that not only we had talked about heavily in class with Ms. Gianina and hearing that again from Mr. Williams had put a much bigger emphasis on the whole idea for myself.
