This is the sad twitter account of a diehard New York Giants fan who is trying to find the willpower to continue to support his team. I was trying to resemble a suffering Giants fan, for years Giants fans have had to sit back and watch as our team performs subpar. I wanted Giants fans to feel that they are not alone in the suffering, I wanted to post a couple pictures of memes that just showed the pain Giants fans go through watching the team play. The idea is to post things that show what it’s like being disappointed and not able to stand the giants. I’m a die hard Giants fan but we haven’t been good for years now, the city of New York needs a good football team. This social media persona is meant to represent the life of a depressed Giants fan. Each post highlighting the pure misery giants fans face. I think this sports persona fits the mold of a committed fan to a destroyed organization, every team has a super fan, someone that supports the team through all road bumps but is there to see the team win at the end. We have all had that moment of supporting a franchise that is not winning, it can be infuriating and embarrassing to talk out because you just want to see your team win. I think twitter was also a good platform for me to use to make my personna, you can really formulate a good opinion and reach different crowds on the app as well. The persona can go on to further symbolize the importance sports has on certain fans to the point where they feel the need to write comments online critiquing the team’s moves. I think that these tweets by this fan shows us just how invested some fans can be in their teams and in their teams success and how losing can not only affect the teams but also the fans as well.
