This semester I took cellular biology and it was the most interesting and helpful course I have ever taken. My end goal is to be a medical laboratory scientist/ medical research scientist which requires many courses but the most important is cytology. I really enjoyed learning about cell structure and learning all the parts and functions that are within the cell. I never really understood the layout of the inside of a cell and whenever I did learn bout it; I forgot about what I had learned.
This course really prepared me for my histology and my molecular diagnostics course next semester and it made me appreciate laboratory science a lot more. The chemical composition of cells, cellular functions, cell signaling, and reproduction were all foreign topics to me before this course but now I am ready to learn so much more about cells!
