My main objective for attending ODU is to graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology to further allow me to advance in my career or open other career opportunities. Fluid Mechanics allows me to learn how fluids effect design as all fluids do not react the same in systems. It is teaching me to focus on the problem at hand and not the overall picture presented, narrow down what is needed and ignore what is not in order to solve the problem at hand. By doing this it will further help me in future classes where an entire scenario is given but only part of it needs solved.

I am taking this class as a full-time father of four children aged 8 to 16, full time employee as a substation designer, coach and small business owner. All of these external aspects in my life have taught me the time management skills and dedication needed to take this class and all the other classes for my degree online.
