I’m attending ODU for electrical engineering technology (concentration in power systems) and minor is mechanical engineering technology. My goal is to be hired by NASA following completion of my degree. In my existing internship, I would closely with the cockpit motion facility with provides 6 degrees of freedom through use of hydraulics. I currently work in the audio-visual systems, but following completion of the fluid mechanics course, I may have the option to change to the hydraulic systems branch.

That said, while my focus is electrical work, doing mechanical studies rounds me out better and gives a closer tie-in to aerospace work. Along with, an alternative path I have always had interest in is robotics, and an electro-mechanical background ties in beautifully.
