About Me
My name is Jalen May, and I’m currently studying Mechanical Engineering Technology at Old Dominion University. One of my main goals is to design and build machines and products that can help solve real-world problems. I chose this field because I enjoy hands-on work and want to understand how things function and how to make them better.
Taking Thermal Applications has helped me learn how energy, heat, and mechanical systems all work together. These are important topics for anyone building machines, especially if they deal with engines, cooling systems, or power generation. This course has also helped me improve my problem-solving and technical skills, which are key in the engineering field.
Learning about thermodynamics and energy systems in this class will definitely help me in my future career. Whether I’m working on designing engines, heating and cooling systems, or any other type of mechanical product, I’ll use what I learned here to make better, more efficient designs.
