After watching all of the modules and reading into detail about the BioCybersecurity, I’ve found many outlooks as a result. I have never looked so in detail about BioCybersecurity but it was very interesting to learn about. The risks when it comes to Biology in Cybersecurity are a higher risk than everything else. I believe it is one of the top priorities when it comes to cybersecurity.
What is at risk?
If people’s information and medical records were not private or there was a database not strong enough that lets people use this private information for evil, then there will be very awful consequences and the violation of many major rights. These medical offices & anyone who has to have some kind of security system has to be very advanced and have very smart and intelligent IT people to work for them. These protections will help keep the Biology aspect of Cybersecurity safer. There also was mention of DNA being stolen perhaps by someone who might be able to breach a system. If this were to happen it would make the hospital lose credibility as well as show the weakness in the security system.
Ethical Factors:
There are many ethical considerations when it comes to BioCybersecurity and most of it is that there’s privacy for a reason, if the wrong people get their hands on information, it can be detrimental. These huge ethical factors are very important to be thought of before establishing systems to protect it. I believe that a strong system & a good team can help prevent these breaches and help keep our BioCybersecurity safe on the internet and security.
