Misinformation has always been a concern on the world stage. With the advent of the cyber realm, this concern has been propelled to the fore front of many national security professionals minds. Their are active information conflicts happening around the globe. Its cheaper than conventional warfare. Requires very few personnel to pull off and can reach anywhere in the world that the internet can go. Be it creating doubt in national or social institutions or simply trying to flood the net with deep fakes to sow disillusionments with public figures. Political agents or state actors can disrupt an entire system, intentionally or not. As we move forward this risk will continue to grow and we must find means by which we can mitigate this risk. Our Culture and Country depend on it.
