From nursing to speech language pathology

For my interview I decided to interview Antony Mondragon. Antony is from Arlingoton, VA and is an alumni of ODU. Antony entered ODU majoring in nursing, but he ended up switching majors to speech pathology. He graduated ODU with a bachelors in Speech Language Pathology and continued his master’s in George Washington Univerversity. He is currently working as a speech-pathologist with children along side with nurses. He didn’t want to share where he works for personal reasons. A summary of the interview is Antony shares why he choose speech pathology instead and shares his interest he had in the career. Not only does he share his story, but he also shares advice he would give to younger generations or nursing students right now who might be interested in Speech Pathology. A takeway from the interview I got was your mind might be set onto something but within years you can find out your true path. Antony was always intersted in nursing since middle school and thought his future was being a nurse, but life led him to speech pathology and he wouldn’t change it.
