Researchers can use the data available on PrivacyRights.org to study many different areas surrounding data breaches such as trends, system vulnerabilities and different methods of hacker used during these breaches. This will allow for robust security plans to be created and bring more awareness to the public on how to properly protect their information. The database allows for researcher to analyze who is most affected by these breaches. which can lead to more effective preventative measures and protocols.  Once the data is examined, researchers can collaborate with leaders to advocate for stricter laws and a safer digital word. This will urge more mitigation strategies to be implemented which reduces the number of breaches year around.
