Can you spot three fake websites and compare the three fake websites to three real websites, plus showcase what makes the fake websites fake?
There are many fraudulent websites out there that mimic legit sites. In my search I was able to identify a few websites that were phony clones of real sites but have a few common errors that are noticeable to make it illegitimate. The first website I found was Pay-pail.com, which is a bogus replica of Paypal.com. The notable difference is the domain name, but what makes the real website stand out more than the dup is the contact information page. A lot of fakes websites doesn’t contain customer service support pages. Another websites that resembles a real site is Amaz0n.com to Amazon.com. Hackers use this site to obtain users log in information once they attempt to log in. The fake sites compared to the real one has many grammatical errors and the spelling is incorrect. This is a red flag as the real websites lacks these mistakes. The last website I am going to identify is Apple-shop.com that copies Apple.com. The difference is not only the URL, but the discounts of the fake websites are unrealistic compared to the real website as well are not contact info.
