As discussed in the video, Davin Teo’s career in digital forensics relates to social science as it explores the human behaviors in cybercrime, and how humans interact with technology. Digital forensics involves studying the way people communicate and share information across digital space. This makes it aligned with social science as we learn to understand why people do what they do. Davin Teo journey is remarkable blend of passion and adaptability. He was set on breaking away from conventional expectation of what forensic science is. He found a way to evolve with the growing changes in the technical world. Davin highlights uncovering internal organizational issues which is a mixture of sociology and psychology in the social science realm. His career also spills into the criminology field as it involves fielding clues to solve digital crimes, analyzing evidence, and monitoring the patterns of these criminals. The most inspiring aspect of his career is exemplifying the importance of embracing change. He was willing to go to the traditional path of digital forensics to explore his own journey. What he contributes to society makes him path that much more inspirational. He teaches us that careers can go beyond a job title; it can build a story and create longevity.
