On the Social Media Disorder Scale, I got zero “yes” responses out of nine. I don’t really use social media and deleted my accounts a long time ago. The only one I still use is TikTok, but I don’t interact with anyone I just watch videos for fun.
I think the questions on the scale are really accurate because they point out the main issues that come with using too much social media, like getting addicted or distracted. It makes sense why people who are on social media all the time might struggle with those things.
I also think social media use looks different around the world because not everyone has the same access. Some people have internet but no phone, or the other way around. Plus, in some stricter countries, kids might not be allowed to use social media until they’re older. That definitely changes how people use it depending on where they live.
