Week 13 – Journal Entry 14

In the article “11 Illegal Things You Unknowingly Do on the Internet” by Andriy Slynchuk, five of the most serious things people do online without realizing they’re illegal include sharing someone else’s private info, collecting data from kids under 13, pretending to be someone else, cyberbullying, and doing illegal searches. Sharing things like someone’s address or password without permission can seriously hurt their safety and privacy. Gathering info about young kids without their parents knowing is dangerous and against the law. Pretending to be someone else online can lead to scams or other bad stuff. Cyberbullying is really harmful and can mess with people’s mental health. And searching for illegal things online can get you into serious trouble. These things are serious because they can hurt people in real life, not just online.
