My name is Darryan Miller.  I am English Major with a concentration in Journalism and a Women’s Studies Minor. As far as my academic goals, I would like to go to graduate school after I take some time off school to continue to study Journalism as well as film. I would like to write for a publication, or do something with broadcast Journalism, as well as use my minor to depict more accurate representations in film and the media through writing and directing. Critical Theory is a step towards that process because I will be able to apply different theories through my writing and other works. Critical Theory is definitely an important lens for my profession, and will allow me to be more multifaceted in my profession.
