Artifact 2

For my Top Artifact Two, I chose the love styles from module seven, which was titled, “Liking, Love and Other Close Relationships. I enjoyed this module because I am fond of talking and learning about relationship aspects and different perspectives on love. I often strive to enhance my friendships, relationships and to be a better person for those people, so this module provided a clearer understanding to contribute to my personal goals. The love styles questionnaire and assignment were very interactive for me and wrapped the module up very well.

Assignment four has been my favorite part of this class so far. I am fresh in a relationship that I plan to put much effort and time in. This assignment was very good for me as it allowed for a good amount of self-reflection. There were many things I learned about myself that I had not realized, and some I was not too fond of. By participating in Assignment four, I have learned to pay more attention to my words and actions. This assignment was a much-needed self-assessment tool!

Artifact 1

My favorite item to archive from modules 3-6 was chapter 4: The Self. Chapter 4 was reviewed in module 6 and was accompanied by assignment 2: Self-Portrait. This chapter and activity revolved around self-reflection and self-esteem, both of which are very important to me. The chapter/activity was my top selection from the artifacts because of the way it made me feel. This assignment taught me to stop and reflect because the way I view myself is important and expanded my knowledge on the factors that affect our self-esteem.

I am often so busy with simply trying to keep up with all of my commitments that I don’t take time to look at the big picture. I often put myself down or set expectations that are very high and difficult to meet, causing my life to move in a circular direction when it comes to self-growth and appreciation. The self-portrait assignment made me look at then things that represent me and, in the midst, boosted my confidence. I remembered to be proud of myself and my contributions in life.
