When I wrote Essay Four my one of my biggest challenges was choosing a prompt that would help me reach the requirements of the paper. I originally choose was to write about a research paper I had done in high school, but I was not able to reach the word count. So, I had to rethink my what I was going to write about I was very reluctant to choose the first prompt because it was a topic, I had chosen so many times before. Being that I didn’t have much of a choice, I decided to just write about my success or lack thereof in this class. Another challenge was trying to talk about the growth of my writing. This was a challenge not because I have not grown but because talking about my growth would not help me meet the word count. I initially wanted to reflect on my writings in a positive manner but that was easier said than done. So, I was forced to write about my shortcomings in my writing assignment. Which was a lot easier than bragging on my writing growth. Even with all that took place in my fourth essay I was still not fully able to meet the word count.

What made writing Essay Four easier that most was that I had wrote on that topic so many times before, so I knew what I wanted to say, how far I wanted to go, and where I wanted to stop. While my essay may seem like me beating myself up it was really me reminding myself that I am not done, and I have far to go. I think this also made writing the essay and my future writing assignments easier because it gives me a guide on what I should work on and errors to look for.
