I thought this assignment was very interesting. I always knew that as Americans, we are constantly on the move and working for the most part. However, I didn’t think to look into the statistics of how foreign countries may work and how they view the way we work. I learned that compared to Germans and the French we work 6-7 hours more on average per week than they do. Even though those are based on statistics from a couple of years ago, it would really be interesting to know about the current statistics now that COVID-19 is in the picture. This kind of reminds me of a project I did in high school where I compared different art styles from ours (The US) to foreign countries. It was really fascinating to see the different modes and mediums used to create their art. As far as this assignment, it really allowed me to think outside of this box that Americans tend to put themselves into. Sometimes we’re so involved in our own lives we forget to enjoy the creativity and thinking of others. I decided to choose the image below because it just spoke to me when I think of the way I work.
