LingroLearning
Lingrolearning has been my first real learning experience in Spanish. It has taught me not only how to speak Spanish, but also different cultures within the Spanish-speaking world. Lingrolearning is very fast paced but it also makes the learning very elementary for beginners. When I first started, I was a little intimidated by the flow, but when I started to realize that it understood what I was feeling, then I put more trust into the program.

Duolingo
Duolingo is the best when it comes to just wanting to practice Spanish. I downloaded the app and the setup was perfect for my beginning stage. I focused on it a lot when I was on vacation, or just simply wanted to do it. It also allowed me to know a little bit of Spanish before I started my Spanish 101 course at Old Dominion University.

Netflix
Netflix has been a really good way of learning Spanish even if I didn’t fully understand what the actors were saying due to them speaking very fast. The reason that I decided to watch a lot of Spanish-speaking movies without the subtitles, is because it helped me put a lot in context. The actors’ expressions and tones allowed me to pinpoint what they were saying. Also, few words allowed me to put the words into full context.
