Collaboration Unit

For the Collaboration Unit, I worked with a senior-level English teacher to develop a mini unit entitled Generating Strong Foundations for Argumentative Writing that would support her students development of an argumentative research essay.

This unit required me to plan for instruction, carefully consider instructional strategies, and guide students through the metacognitive practice of refining their research topics alongside another teacher. Additionally, I had an organic opportunity to share a Pathfinder resource I developed around the topic of Gender Equality (screenshots of the Pathfinder are embedded within this document). This was certainly the most comprehensive and rewarding experience in my completion of the MLIS program.
