The culminating project of the Storytelling course was a Storytelling Event Plan, which required a detailed narrative and timeline of a storytelling event in a library of your choosing. I found great delight in this assignment, as it provided an opportunity to intentionally work with all of our community stakeholders to execute an event that gave space for a diverse group of people to share stories with one another. Library Programming not only supports a safe and welcoming library environment, but also delivers assessment results that are unique from those of academic instruction. These assessment results give librarians information and pathways for further advocacy of their students and school library program.
