This collection improvement plan was developed after analyzing and researching the community and current collection of Cedar Lane School. The three-year plan addresses three areas of concern: lack of full time school librarian to support both staff and students; poor student utilization of databases for project-based learning opportunities; and lack of diverse representation among the fiction books to match the diverse student body of Cedar Lane. The three-year plan provides: actionable steps to be taken to improve the three areas of concern; formative and summative assessments to measure the improvement; and a marketing plan for each of the three areas of concern.
